Evon Kirkland Mcangus
Evon Kirkland McAngus has been in the business of designing interiors for nearly twenty-five years, and during that time she has earned the respect of her peers and established a loyal following. She is a professional member of IIDA and ASID and is NCIDQ certified. Admired for her thoughtful presentation and clean design, Evon has the experience and talent to take vision to reality.
While the economy has certainly been a challenge to the design and construction industry for the past year, Evon sees steady improvement and is working to ensure that Evon Kirkland Interiors responds to public concerns. McAngus explains, “Clients are very value conscious of both design fees and products. We are participating in a study that will evaluate how to provide the best services for our clients in a price structure that is not too open-ended. Especially now, using an interior designer is a choice that will ensure a more successful outcome for their project.”
For McAngus, part of the key to her success is taking the time to evaluate the lifestyle and needs of a client during the initial phase of a project. “A good designer will take the time to develop the project around the client. There are always numerous solutions to any project and my goal is to develop the one that will best fit the client.”
In 2007, McAngus opened Westend, a risky undertaking at any time, but especially so in a down market. “People are especially selective now with regards to their money. I feel that more attention is being paid to the quality and classic appeal of furnishings and accessories. By structuring our retail store around established lines such as Baker and Henredon, we can offer our clients the opportunity to be certain that they are investing wisely in their home.”
